Yesterday I posted about patriotism, and tonight's victory speech by Sen. Obama was a moving promise to reunite our country. I'm hopeful he can succeed.
Today I'm thinking one thing: the revolution starts now. OK, really, probably 23-odd months ago when Obama first announced, but now there is really a new day dawning. And tomorrow, another new day dawning, I'll be back to talking birds. There have been some good ones lately!

I hope you are right, but a successful revolution will require the support of a lot of people who did not support Obama. Only time will tell if that happens. It's way beyond my powers of prediction.
If re-unification of this country is possible, Obama is one of the few people who will/can lead us in that direction.
I am exhausted from staying up past midnight, but it was worth it - a very emotional moment.
marvin - I'm hoping, perhaps naively confident, that there are a reasonable number of McCain voters that will accept and support our president-elect. I was inspired by Sen. Obama's victory speech direction in reaching out to those that didn't vote for him, recognizing he'll have to work to earn their confidence, perhaps ultimately their trust.
As you say, only time will tell, and I completely agree that Sen. Obama is one of the few that can lead the healing. I truly hope the revolution (for a new era of Washington politics) is successful!
BTW, love your macro shots and the images from the Ozarks - makes me miss northwest Arkansas!
jan - ditto! Once Ohio was called I considered going to bed, but the moment was simply too big. I suppose I'm still on a high of sorts since the late night didn't drag me down like I thought it might!
